Jennie Kristel, MA, REAT, APTT, RMT Is a registered expressive arts therapist, teacher, supervisor, accredited Playback Theatre trainer, and Reiki Teacher, working in a trauma-informed, culturally relevant private practice called JourneyWorks. She is a longtime international trainer of both Playback Theatre and Expressive Arts Therapy, an artist, and a visiting Core instructor at Lesley University. She has written on using the arts in therapy and Playback Theatre including co-writing Using Art Therapy in Diverse Populations: Crossing Cultures and Abilities, and published chapters and articles about using Playback Theatre in the community, postpartum care, Disability, and grief. She currently works with people and groups using the expressive arts to support healing from intergenerational and ancestral trauma to access Connection through Joy in their lives. She also is a Playback Theatre performer, mixed media artist, and avid gardener. Jennie and her husband live on the South coast of Massachusetts (The unceded territory of the Wampanoag Federation) and are cat parents to Nori, who teaches her a lot about patience.
