Hannah, M.A., APTT, RYT 500, is an international Playback Theatre trainer, co-director of the New York School of Playback Theatre and founder of Pangea Playback Theatre (2020), an international multi-cultural online Playback Theatre company, and Big Apple Playback Theatre (2002). Hannah has a special interest in using dance and movement on the Playback stage, as well as using theatre and performance as a tool for promoting social justice. Hannah is the daughter of the founders of Playback Theatre, and author of Zoomy Zoomy: Improv Games and Exercises for Groups, in addition to numerous other scholarly publications about Playback Theatre. Hannah is a certified yoga teacher and positional therapist.
Eddie is an Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer, a guest trainer with SPT (Japan) since 2017, and Co-Director of SPT (Hong Kong) from 2017 to 2024. He has taught Playback Theatre internationally across multiple levels and contexts.
A member of Encounter Playback Theatre, which he co-founded in 2009 and co-artistic directed until 2024, and an Artist-in-Residence with True Heart Theatre. Eddie was previously a member of London Playback Theatre and True Heart Theatre from 2006 to 2009.
Trained in Social Work, Drama Therapy, Developmental Transformations, Psychodrama, Theatre of the Oppressed, and Creative Approaches to Supervision, Eddie works as a freelance psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor, and simultaneous interpreter. He is an honorary lecturer at The University and a consultant for a Hong Kong-based NGO.

Jonathan is the founder of Playback Theatre and director emeritus of the Centre for Playback Theatre. He was the artistic and executive director of the original Playback Theatre company from its inception in 1975. He is the author of Beyond Theatre: a playback theatre memoir, Acts of Service: Spontaneity, Commitment, Tradition in the Nonscripted Theatre; the editor of The Essential Moreno: Writings on Spontaneity, Psychodrama and Group Method; and co-editor of Gathering Voices: Essays on Playback Theatre. In 2008 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Kassel in Germany for artistic and scholarly achievement in theatre.
Michael is an applied drama practitioner and educator. As an Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer (APTT), he has taught internationally across all levels and supported practitioner development through workshops, trainings, and community-based projects.
Michael served as Artistic Director of Tapestry Playback Theatre for 14 years and is a founding member of two other Playback Theatre groups in Singapore, contributing to the growth of the local Playback community. He is also the Principal Trainer at the SDEA – CET School of Playback Theatre.
His applied drama/theatre practice includes working with people with disabilities, seniors, youth-at-risk, and community workers, integrating Playback Theatre with a range of participatory theatre and arts-based approaches to foster dialogue, reflection, connection, and social change. Michael earned his Master’s in Arts Pedagogy and Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London, graduating with Distinction.
