A Practitioner for more than 23 years, Bea completed Leadership in 2013. She uses Playback in the civil and educational sectors. She is passionate about Playback Theatre, peace work and promotion of conscious participation in civil society. Bea obtained a MA degree in French and in Hungarian and completed postgraduate studies of Drama in Education in Budapest, and loves NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis studies.
For the last 22 years Bea has been a member of Pepita Playback Theatre in Budapest, and co-founded FineArt Playback Group in 2014. She is also an Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer and a teacher of the Hungarian School of Playback Theatre, a Centre for Playback Theatre-affiliated school.
She serves currently as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of CPT and also volunteered as Eastern European Regional Representative of the International Playback Theatre Network 2011-2023. She is also a Listening Hour facilitator and trainer which is a story-based approach to Playback Theatre.

Deborah Scott did a little of everything in the theatre in her years in NYC but discovered Playback only after moving to North Carolina in 1994. Combining social action and theatre was a wish come true. She was an original member of Asheville Playback Theatre in 1995 and served as a Co-Director of the company for 20+ years. Stories are at the heart of all her work, with families as a Life Coach, teaching front line family workers and their supervisors, and building relationships across cultural divides. She has a BA in
Theatre Arts, a MA in Humanistic Education, is an Accredited Trainer of PT and has served on the Affiliated Schools Committee for 7 years.
Radhika is an applied theatre and expressive arts therapy practitioner from India. She is the co-founder of First Drop Theatre, a Bangalore based Applied Theatre company. An accredited trainer, Radhika is also the faculty for Playback Theatre at the Applied Theatre India Foundation and the co-editor of the International Playback Theatre Network (IPTN) journal.
She works with differently-abled individuals and children with special needs; using theatre, to help them express better, develop skills of awareness, communication and spontaneity.
She specifically uses Playback Theatre for self and social awareness, for opening up conversations and for enabling deep reflections in the area of healthcare, for mental health awareness, for addressing issues of diversity and inclusion, for community outreach, and for the holistic development of organizations.
Heidi Winters is an activist, performer, PT accredited trainer and teacher. She co-founded Inside Out Playback Theatre in 2010 and practices Playback, Theatre of the Oppressed, and arts activism, using storytelling to engage and empower community-generated change. She is a 2019 Leadership graduate from the Centre and also holds a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Minnesota and an M.F.A. in Directing for Theatre from Pennsylvania State University. Heidi is an Associate Professor of Theater at Wabash College in Indiana, teaching acting, improvisation, and Theater for Social Change. She is performing Playback online with World Playback Theatre, Playback for People, and Thursday Zoomers.
Oluwadamilola Apotieri-Abdulai is the founder and CEO, Playback Nigeria and a graduate of Theatre Arts, Lagos State University and Redeemer’s University, Nigeria. He has a B.A Honours and Masters in Applied Drama; Theatre in Education, Community and Social Context from the prestigious Drama for Life division at the University of the Witwatersrand South Africa. His professional performance and facilitation platforms have extended to South Africa, Botswana, Bulgaria, Serbia, United Kingdom, and the United State. Damilola brings his effusive energy, deep compassion, creativity, and insight to the board of the Centre for Playback Theatre.
Tzveta is an actress, theater director, producer, Accredited PT trainer and psychodramatist.
Founder and director of Playback Theater “Here and Now”- first professional company in Bulgaria. She’s a conductor, actor and musician. As a pioneer in developing Bulgarian PT society, she started the annual Bulgarian Playback Theater Gatherings in 2014. She and Playback Theatre “Here and Now” participate in many international events. Tzveta and her team organized the first online European Playback Theatre Gathering in 2020 and online conference with Jonathan Fox in 2021. Director of EPTG from 2017-2022, hosted in Sofia. She is a director/ founder of Poiesis Playback Theatre in Korea and established School of Playback Theatre Korea in 2018. And also she is a board member of Korea Expressive Arts Therapy Association and Korea Association for Drama/Theatre and Education. She has been developing many workshops and seminars related to creative movement and intermodal expressive arts, communication skills, and integrating those things together.
Jonathan is the co-founder of Playback Theatre and the artistic and executive director of the original Playback Theatre company from its inception in 1975. He is the author of Acts of Service: Spontaneity, Commitment, Tradition in the Nonscripted Theatre and Beyond Theatre: a playback theatre memoir; the editor of The Essential Moreno: Writings on Spontaneity, Psychodrama and Group Method; and co-editor of Gathering Voices: Essays on Playback Theatre. In 2008 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Kassel in Germany for artistic and scholarly achievement in theater.
