Japanese School of Playback Theatre was opened on April 1, 1998, with Jonathan Fox as the founder, as well as qualified instructors from overseas and Japan. The school offers Level 1 to Leadership training. Classes are shorter and accommodated to suit Japanese lifestyles. However, the course content is of the same value and authority as by the Centre for Playback Theatre, USA. As with Centre for Playback Theatre, USA, Japan School for Playback Theatre is a not for-profit school, and was established with the goal of handing down Playback Theatre to future generations in a proper manner. Therefore, for those who want to learn seriously, the cost is kept as affordable as possible to participate.
